Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We've got answers! Here are some of the most common queries we get about moving homes:

What types of homes can you move?

We can move a wide variety of homes, including single-story, multi-story, wooden, and brick houses. Whether your home is old or new, large or small, we have the expertise and equipment to transport it safely.

Can you make a brick house?

Yes you can, but all bricks must be removed prior to transportation – our team can do this for you. This will then be able to be re-cladded, or modern brick re-layed once the house is positioned in its new location.  You can then rewire, insulate as you go.

How do you ensure the safety of my home during the move?

Your home’s safety is our top priority. We use specialised moving equipment and techniques to secure your home. Our experienced team conducts a thorough planning and assessment phase to address any potential risks before the move begins. And we stand behind our existing reputation and track record in the industry.

Can you move homes to any location on the North Island?

Yes, we service the entire North Island. We handle all logistics, including route planning and obtaining necessary permits for transporting your home to its new location. Our team is happy to advise you on whether your dream is possible.

How long does a typical home relocation take?

The duration of the relocation process can vary depending on factors such as the distance, the size and type of your home, and the complexity of the preparation required. On average, a move can take from a few days to several weeks. We'll give you a more specific timeline during our initial consultation.

Are there any homes you cannot move?

While we are equipped to handle most types of homes, certain conditions such as severe structural issues or legal restrictions might prevent a move. We can determine this during our initial site assessment.

How much does it typically cost to relocate a home?

The cost of relocating a home varies based on the size of the home, the distance of the move, and the specific requirements of the job. We provide a detailed quote after our initial assessment to ensure transparency and to help you plan financially.
